Some Christians struggle to attach any sense of a higher calling to the menial, monotonous tasks of a job that only pays the bills. Because of that struggle, they can easily neglect to cultivate and apply the proper things of Christian character in their workplaces, while underestimating the importance of their witness in their workplaces.
Proper things—many people don’t expect too much of those from young men. Yet, as I have stressed with the other age groups, young men are essential to the well-being of their families, their churches, and their communities. Them growing into the proper things of Christian character is vitally needed.
God’s will of proper things of Christian character includes the respective roles of men and women as He has defined them in His design. His design for young women in their relationships with Him, their husbands, and their children is essential to the well-being of their families, their churches, and their communities. His design is not a ball and chain of bondage, but a great blessing when rightly understood and applied.
